About TASS Membership

TASS is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for sailing enthusiasts in the Houston/Galveston Bay area. By combining affordability, inclusivity, social engagement, adventure, and opportunities for skills development and growth, TASS offers something for everyone!

We provide two membership options:

  • TASS Individual Membership: Tailored for individuals joining TASS in the Houston area (within a 75-mile radius from the center of Houston).
  • TASS Individual Membership - Non-Local: Specifically designed for sailors residing outside the 75-mile zip code radius from the center of Houston. 
    • Opting for this membership type places your membership in a pending status until your zip code is verified. 
    • Our dedicated Membership Director will then either approve your new membership or reach out to you with any queries.

    A couple of essential notes:

        • Kindly select the individual membership level to the left that best suits your needs, as we do not offer family memberships.
        • Each member must possess an individual email address.
        • Before you finalize your membership, take a moment to peruse the Terms & Conditions document, conveniently located in the Document Library. It will also become a part of your membership profile once you join.
        • Please note that TASS membership and participation in charter sails are reserved for individuals aged 21 and above.

    Membership and Sailing Prices (updated 1/1/24)

    Yearly Membership – Local $75

    Yearly Membership – Nonlocal $40

    Casual Sails – Members $80

    Casual Sails – Guests $90

    Races – Members $90 (in-club and external races)

    Races – Guests $95 (in-club and external races)


    TASS Club Objectives

    1. To promote and encourage interest in the sport of sailing.

    2. To provide members with the opportunity to participate in and attain desired skills in the sport of sailing.

    3. To develop among the membership a regard for the safety procedures that are essential to the sport of sailing.

    TASS shall offer activities and services desired by the membership deemed appropriate by the Officers.
