TASS Houston Meeting

Location: Vine Memorial - 7951 Katy Freeway, Bldg. A - Suite B

Meetings in the Houston are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month unless the calendar and announcements state otherwise. Exact location for the meeting will be posted within 30 days of the meeting date. Consult the Weekly Blast or the calendar for updates.

Time: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm - Happy Hour

Meeting begins at 6:30

At TASS, we host a group meeting the second Thursday and a Meet and Greet in the Houston area. It's a fantastic opportunity for our current members and guests to come together, chat, and get to know one another.

During these gatherings, we share and discuss exciting happenings around TASS. This includes upcoming Casual Sails, Instructional Sails, TASS Races and After Race Parties, Members DROP ANCHOR Parties, and Special Events. It's a hub of information and good vibes!

We genuinely welcome guests with open arms and encourage participation. So, if you're curious or want to connect with like-minded sailors, join us for some fun times! You can look forward to enjoyable conversations and exciting updates.

All registrations can be made up to the day of the sail. Put your name on the Wait-list if boat is full in case registrants want to sell their seats.

The skipper will contact all registrants the day before the sail.

Please check the Skipper Directory for contact information if you need to reach the skipper regarding the sail.

On-board: 10:00 AM (departs @ 10:30 AM) back 5:00 pm, but the skipper may adjust times for weather and conditions.

Members and Non-members/New Guests are welcome; no previous sailing experience is required.

SPRING FLING RACE

TASS CHARTER BOAT

Skipper in Charge: Jay Leggett

Charter Boat Name: Topo Time

The skipper will contact all registrants by Friday before the RACE.

On-board: 11:00 AM (departs @ 11:15 AM) back by sunset

This is not a casual sail.

Registrants are expected to actively participate in boat operations. They must be able to operate winches, handle lines, and move about the boat. We recommend that you obtain sailing gloves for personal protection.

There will also be a second TASS boat participating tomorrow. Participants may be asked to move to the other boat if needed to keep the number of crew (and women available to helm) as close to equal on each boat as possible.

If you plan to attend the Awards & after-race party, please note that registrations for this are separate. You can find the registration details in the calendar.

Spring Fling Boat Registration

All Boat Entries into the Race must be registered by 1900 on the Thursday prior to the race.

At the conclusion of each race there is an Award Presentation and Party.

Join Us!

Galveston South Bay meeting is on the first Thursday of each month. It’s a great opportunity for current members and guests to come together.

During these meetings we share and discuss happenings around TASS. Casual sails, instructional sails, TASS races, after-race parties and other social events.

So, if you’re curious and want to connect with like-minded sailors come join us for good conversation and exciting updates!

First Annual TASS/SailTime Regatta-Boat Registration (7 Jun 2026)

First Annual TASS/SailTime Regatta - Boat Registration

All Boat Entries into the Race must be registered by 1900 on the Friday prior to the race 6/5/26. Ratings used will be the boat's most Current Galveston Bay PHRF.

At the conclusion of the race, there will be an Award Presentation and Party with free food and fun.

Sailing Instructions will be sent to the skipper of each boat on Saturday prior to the race. They will also be posted to this registration page.

JOIN TASS & SAILTIME MEMBERS FOR AN AFTER RACE PARTY AND OPEN HOUSE

CELEBRATING THE FIRST ANNUAL TASS/SAILTIME REGATTA

WATERGATE YACHTING CENTER, PIER ELEVEN

Mix and mingle with members and crew and help celebrate with the regatta winners. Enjoy BBQ sliders and come aboard the TASS charter boat and see the fun you can have on future TASS sails. Information on Sailtime memerships and training prgrams will be available.

Bring your favorite beverage and folding chair.

Please register as TASS member or Sailtime member so we can accomodate all attendees.
